Greenkeeper

A Christchurch-based turf and lawn management company is seeking a Greenkeeper to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role maintaining high-quality turf across a range of environments including residential properties, commercial spaces and sports fields.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing healthy, high-quality turf and enjoys working outdoors. You will play a key part in maintaining excellent turf standards while supporting and supervising junior staff.

Key tasks include: • Mowing, edging and maintaining turf areas to a high professional standard • Applying fertiliser, irrigation and other turf treatments to support healthy turf growth • Identifying and treating turf diseases, weeds and pests • Operating and maintaining specialised turf care equipment and machinery • Carrying out turf renovations including re-seeding, aeration and laying new lawns • Preparing and maintaining high-quality turf for sports and recreational use • Monitoring turf conditions and recommending maintenance or treatment solutions • Supervising and supporting junior team members on site • Communicating with clients and team members to ensure work is completed to a high standard • Maintaining equipment and ensuring safe work practices are followed

Minimum 6 month experience in greenkeeping, sports turf management, landscaping, or a related field General knowledge of turf management practices, including spraying, machinery operation and maintenance Full class 1 drivers license Personal transport Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice check
