About this job

We are seeking an experienced Hail Cloth Erector to lead the installation and maintenance of our orchard support structures. This is a year-round role that balances solo technical work with team supervision. The Role: • Installation & Management: Build support structures independently and lead a small team to lay/fix hail cloth under the direction of the Orchard GM. • Leadership: Direct, train, and supervise workers, including work allocation, performance monitoring, and managing timesheets. • Equipment Operation: Use tractors, hydraladders, and utes. Ensure all operators are trained and competent on mobile elevating platforms. • General Orchard Support: During winter or wet weather, assist with maintenance, spraying, weed control, and quality control.

Job Requirements

Experience: Proven background in orchard construction, tools, and techniques. Licensing: Current NZ Driver’s License is essential. Excavator license WTR/experience highly preferred. Efficiency: Ability to meet budget targets and maintain high-quality outputs.
