Kaimahi Navigator

A Taumarunui and Te Kuiti based employer is looking for a Navigator to work out of their location in Taumarunui.

The kaimahi navigator works alongside whanau to support their wellbeing, aspirations, and access to services. The role focuses on building strong relationships with whanau, identify goals, and helping connect them with the right supports within the community. Building strong people within strong communities for long-term sustainability.

Key responsibilities: - Engage with whanau and build, trusting relationships. - Support whanau to identify goals and develop a whanau plan - Assist whanau to access services such as housing, health, education, employment, and financial support. - Work in a team and independently - Maintain clear and accurate case notes and reporting

Skills and Experience: - Experience working with whanau, families, or communities - Understanding of whanau ora principles and Kaupapa maori approaches - Strong communication and relationship-building skills - Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
