We are a seasonal, produce-driven restaurant in the heart of Blenheim. We cook with quality ingredients, focusing on Marlborough produce, thoughtful technique and honest food. We’re a relaxed, modern restaurant that values quality, warmth and genuine hospitality. We are growing our kitchen team and are looking for a Head Chef, Chef and Cook to help shape our next chapter.

We’re looking for a Head Chef who cares deeply about ingredients, people and consistency. Someone who leads from the front, keeps things calm and organised, and understands that great food doesn’t need ego.

About the role: -Lead and mentor a small, skilled kitchen team -Develop seasonal menus driven by local produce -Work closely with the owner on menu direction and food philosophy -Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness and consistency -Manage ordering, rostering, food & staff costs and waste responsibly -Create a positive, respectful kitchen culture

Open 7 days a week, flexibility to work weekends is essential. shifts vary starting anytime from 11am and finishing anytime from 11pm or earlier

We’re looking for a skilled Chef who values quality ingredients and takes pride in consistency.

-Three years proven experience required as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous ready to step up -Confident cooking with seasonal produce and simple, well-executed food -Calm leadership style with strong communication skills -Organised, reliable and hands-on -Passion for local suppliers, sustainability and thoughtful cooking Chef -2 years experience required in a professional kitchen -Strong understanding of seasonal produce -Good technical skills and attention to detail -Positive attitude and team-focused mindset -Reliable, organised and calm under pressure
