About this job

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Staff member to join a small manufacturing team producing plastic tanks. This is a hands-on role involving machine operation, quality checking, and general production duties in a busy workshop environment. The role involves operating three rotating mould machines used to manufacture plastic tanks. It requires someone who is physically fit, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a practical production setting.

Key Responsibilities • Operate and monitor rotating mould machines used to manufacture plastic tanks • Refill moulds with raw materials when required • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company standards • Load finished tanks onto trucks using a forklift • Unload incoming supplies and materials • Carry out basic plastic welding of tank lids • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Please note this role involves heavy lifting, including tipping 25kg bags into moulds, which can total up to 480kg per refill and may take up to 40 minutes.

About the Team You will be joining a tight-knit and supportive team consisting of three manufacturers, two office staff, and three drivers. The team prides itself on being welcoming, hardworking, and collaborative.

Job Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience is required • Forklift experience or licence preferred • Ability to follow health and safety procedures • Physically capable of manual handling tasks • Good attitude and strong reliability • Good eye for detail, particularly when conducting quality checks • Ability to use initiative and work independently when required • Works well within a small team environment • Plant is remote so need own reliable transport • Must provide an up-to-date CV outlining relevant work experience • Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) background check • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

Days of work
Monday to Friday Day Shift: 4.30am - 5pm Monday to Saturday Night Shift: 4pm - 4.30am (40 hours per week)
