Security Guards (Bars, Nightclubs, Events)

A local company based in Mount Maunganui are looking for Security Guards. Duties involved but not limited to: Crowd Control: Manage entry points, check IDs, and monitor crowd density to ensure a safe and fun atmosphere. Site Protection: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential hazards or security breaches. De-escalation: Use verbal communication skills to resolve conflicts peacefully and professionally before they escalate. Access Management: Monitor guest lists and enforce venue-specific entry policies. Incident Reporting: Maintain accurate logs and provide clear reports on any incidents that occur during a shift. Emergency Response: Act as a first responder for medical emergencies or evacuations, coordinating with venue staff and emergency services.

These positions available are Casual up to 30 hours per week

COA Licensed: You must hold a current COA (Certificate of Approval) with a Crowd Controller endorsement. Physical Fitness: Ability to remain on your feet for long shifts and move quickly if required. Communication: Excellent English speaking and listening skills to interact with patrons and team members. Professionalism: A well-groomed appearance and a "firm but fair" attitude. Availability: Must be available for late-night shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Able to Pass Ministry of Justice & Drug test Restricted Driver license holders may apply for an exemption to drive outside designated hours, They will need to complete the application process and submit with a payment of $100.00 and provide evidence of their designated hours of work to support their application.
