Wait Staff (Future Leadership Opportunity)

Split Bar & Restaurant is a vibrant restaurant and cocktail bar located in the heart of Whangarei’s CBD, known for fresh local produce, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphere.

We are currently looking for an experienced Wait Staff member to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys creating great customer experiences, and is interested in developing their career with opportunities to progress into future management roles.

We’re looking for someone mature-minded, professional, but who also enjoys having a laugh with the team and our guests.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver outstanding table service and ensure a welcoming dining experience for all guests Take orders accurately and provide menu and beverage recommendations Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining service standards Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining and bar areas Support the wider front-of-house team during busy service periods Assist with opening and closing duties Build positive relationships with guests and encourage repeat visits Contribute to a fun, professional and supportive team environment

-Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality (restaurant service preferred). -LCQ Licence (or willing to obtain). -Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service. -A positive attitude with the ability to engage with customers and colleagues. -Strong communication and teamwork skills. -Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. -Reliable, punctual, and well presented. -Own reliable transport to travel to and from shifts. -Availability to work evenings and busy weekend shifts.
