A Mount based employer is looking for Kaiawhina Support Workers with a great can do attitude who is adaptable to support the role of tangata whaiora and their whanau through a range of services, from residential care to community based support. The focus is on empowering individuals with mental health needs and or intellectual disabilities to live meaningful lives within their communities.
Key Responsibilities -Advocate for tangata whaiora and support their aspirations. -Provide guidance while respecting individual autonomy. -Promote mana enhancing practices in all interactions. -Demonstrate inclusive and culturally appropriate support. -Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies.

Rostered shifts over 7 days!
This role will be working alongside to support vulnerable people and it is important that candidates have a nurturing, supporting and vibe. The role will require a mixture of some sleep overs, day shifts and night shifts across 9 sites within Tauranga/Matapihi areas.

Job Requirements
1- No relevant previous experience is required, but would be an advantage 2- Commitment to Full time mahi with 24/7 availability to work rostered shifts 3- Full clean drivers license to drive Company Vehicles 4- Own car to get to work daily 5- Be Drug free to pass pre-employment testing 6- Have a clean criminal history- there will be a Police Vetting check

- Rostered over 7 days with a weekend off every fortnight. 24/7 availability for some sleep overs, day shifts and night shifts. (40 hours per week)
