Meat Process Worker
About this job
Meat processing workers needed for Napier based Lamb processor. For those new to the meat industry or those with experience, we have positions for you. Employer has an alternate day processing schedule, primary processing (Slaughter) one day and secondary processing (Boning) the next, every day is different and allows you to get experience in both areas of the process. Working as a labourer on Primary processing tasks in the slaughter floor, and Secondary processing tasks, packing and chiller work.
Successful candidates will need to have • Proven record of attendance. • Reliable transport. • Willing to learn attitude. • Meat industry experience and/or some knife handling skills would be an advantage but are not essential as we provide full training if you are up for the challenge and prepared to put in the work.
Job Requirements
All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test and meat handlers medical check. Must have reliable transport. Criminal convictions must be disclosed and will be considered on a case by case basis. Candidates must complete an ACC pre-employment report.
