Kiwifruit Picker

Te Puke based employer is looking for experienced Kiwifruit Pickers for main harvest season. Orchards are between Maketu and Te Matai Road areas. Key responsibilities: Carefully pick kiwifruit from vines. Ensure that all crop is picked to orchard grade standards, good safe work practices are maintained at all times. Fruit is to be picked and placed in picker bags which are then emptied into bins. All care must be taken to ensure picked fruit is not bruised or physically damaged. When emptying fruit bags into bins, inspect picked fruit to ensure any foreign matter such as twigs, sticks or leaves are not left in bins or picked fruit. Sort and pack kiwifruit according to quality standards. Work efficiently to meet daily picking targets. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Work well within a team All tools / gear are provided.

Transport options possible.

Casual employment, but supervision staff will be monitoring for attitude and attention to detail during work in order to recommend casual staff for ongoing roles in the business.

PAY Minimum Wage, plus an adjustment system

Experience is ALWAYS helpful. However, training is provided by Team Leaders and Supervisors. PPE provided. Applicants Can't be too tall.
