An East Tamaki–based company specialising in construction consultancy, building, renovation, flooring, and electrical services is currently seeking a Fabricator / MIG Welder to join our growing team.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual with fabrication and welding experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining strong health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities - Follow and comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures - Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications - Select, clean, and prepare metal materials for fabrication - Cut metal using hand tools, thermal cutting equipment, and metal cutting machinery - Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using manual and mechanical tools, including heating and hammering techniques - Align components accurately using hand tools and precision measuring instruments - Assemble metal parts using MIG welding and other welding processes, as well as bolting and riveting - Inspect welds to ensure accuracy, penetration, and quality standards - Perform finishing tasks including cleaning, polishing, shaping, and acid treatment - Clean and smooth welds through filing, grinding, and chiselling

Job Requirements

- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar fabrication or welding role preferred - MIG welding experience is essential - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings - Site Safe certificate preferred - Must be able to pass a police check and drug test - Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices - Ability to work both independently and within a team

Days of work
Monday - Saturday between 6:00am - 8:00pm (Times may vary) (40 hours per week)

$28 - $32/hr pending experience
