Fitter and Turner

Our partner is seeking an experienced Fitter Turner to join their engineering team in Auckland. This role involves precision machining, mechanical assembly, and maintenance of components and equipment within a professional workshop environment.

About the Role You will work across a range of fitting and turning tasks including machining components, diagnosing faults, assembling equipment, and carrying out mechanical repairs. This position suits someone with strong attention to detail, sound technical ability, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities - Operating lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other workshop machinery - Manufacturing, modifying, and repairing mechanical components to specification - Reading and interpreting technical drawings and measurements - Mechanical assembly, maintenance, and fault diagnosis - Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards

Desirable Skills - Welding or fabrication experience (advantageous) - Experience within manufacturing or heavy engineering environments

- Must have 4+ Years of proven experience to be successful in this role. - Must have Full NZ Class 1 Drivers License - Trade qualification as a Fitter Turner or Mechanical Engineer (Level 4 or equivalent) - Proven experience in fitting, machining, and mechanical maintenance - Strong understanding of tolerances and precision engineering practices - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
