Business North Harbour (BNH) is a not-for-profit organisation representing the Business Improvement District - predominately covering the Albany/Rosedale and part of Mairangi Bay areas. Our main purpose is to empower economic prosperity and growth by enabling North Harbour business and commercial property owners to maximise their financial return and business potential. We do this by creating opportunities for business owners to connect, communicate and collaborate with one another.
We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and self-motivated AMBASSADOR to join our team. About the Role: A community-based role where you will be out and about meeting local businesses, introducing them to BNH services, and building strong relationships. You will also be cold calling on businesses, so confidence, professionalism, and resilience are essential. You will be the first point of contact for the business and property owners, so demonstrating appropriate business acumen and adapting to all levels of a organization.
Key Responsibilities • Visit local businesses to introduce and promote BNH membership, programmes and services. • Conduct cold calling or phone calls in a professional and engaging manner. • Build and maintain positive relationships with business owners and managers. • Collect, update and maintain property and business owner records. Provide feedback and insights • Assist with member engagement and ongoing relationship management. • Maintain accurate records and strong attention to detail. • Provide support and coordination for events and other activities when required. • Professional appearance and maintain a clean tidy vehicle.
About You • Confident communicator who enjoys meeting new people. • Professional, approachable, relationship-focused. • Proven ability to develop relationships at all levels. • Comfortable with face-to-face cold calling and community engagement. • Highly organized, attention to detail able to prioritise and multi-task. • Self-starter, demonstrates initiative, motivated. • Analytical and able to identify potential issues that may affect out members. • Skilled with Microsoft Office and CRM database management and willingness to learn • Flexible and open to change, eager to learn and develop. • Strong team ethic.
Key Performance Measures: How you know you are successful. Targets are to be set and agreed periodically on member engagement.

Job Requirements
Our ideal candidate will be highly customer service-oriented, personable, and approachable, with a proactive mindset and strong initiative to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Able to uphold high work standards and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders and a strong awareness of professional etiquette.
