About the Job: Mane Event is a premium dog day spa located in Remuera.

We are looking for an experienced Pet Stylist to join our team. In this role, you will manage your own grooming station, deliver high-quality grooms, and help maintain our high salon standards.

Main Duties: • Complete full dog grooms, including standard pet trims and specific breed standards. • Consult with dog owners about styling, pricing, and home coat care. • Do basic health checks (checking ears, nails, and skin) on every dog before grooming. • Keep your personal grooming station clean and sanitised between dogs. • Help with overall shop cleaning, including the reception area, kitchen, bathrooms, and taking out the rubbish. • Enter grooming notes into our booking system and take photos of your work. • Work closely with the Salon Manager and help guide junior staff when needed.

Skills and Experience Required: • Must have grooming experience, whether that is via on-the-job training or a formal qualification. • You must supply and maintain your own professional clippers and scissors. • Excellent communication skills for talking directly with clients. • A strong team player who is happy to help with general salon tasks. • Must hold a dog grooming cert

Note: Experience with hand-stripping is a bonus, or you must be willing to learn.
