Trainee Painter

We are looking for an entry-level trainee painter, who is motivated, committed to company and reliable. In this role you will learn all the different facets of painting from preparation, painting, and finishing with a Kerikeri-based decorating team. You will be provided with full training and stable hours.

This role involves repetitive tasks and high levels of consistent actions to be completed. You will be doing preparation work, setting up scaffolding, prepping windows for painting, a lot of sanding, painting, and finishing work on both residential and commercial projects.

Full training will be given — but an interest in learning a trade and pride in completing work to a high standard are essential for this role. The work is hands-on, physical, and often outdoors, so applicants should be comfortable with manual labour and working at heights.

The following is required for this role: * A positive and good work attitude. * A person who looks for work and takes initiative. * Willingness to learn and follow instructions. * Reliable with good attendance and timekeeping. * A pride in their work quality. * Ability to work in a small team and take direction. * Physically fit for hands-on tasks and to lift equipment.

No qualifications or certifications are required but must be willing to learn and have desire to train within the industry. Someone who would like to have a career in painting.
