Chef/Cook

A Bar & Restaurant in Hillsborough is seeking an experienced and dependable Chef/Cook in a part time permanent capacity to manage food preparation and cooking operations. The role involves preparing menu items to a consistent standard, maintaining food safety practices, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

You will only be preparing continental breakfast and lunch. Some of the lunch menu are steak, lamb shanks, pizzas, burgers, pasta.

Key responsibilities: • Prepare and cook menu items according to established standards • Manage food preparation and portion control • Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety compliance • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering • Work efficiently under pressure during peak service times

Hours of work: • Shifts are rostered between 11:00am to 3pm, 4pm if busy • Includes evenings, weekends, and public holidays • Hours will vary depending on business needs • Minimum and maximum weekly hours to be confirmed at employment stage

Hours can range from 20 - 30 hours a week, and can be more than 30 hours if busy.
