Cleaner & Recycling Sortline – Te Awamutu

Do you take pride in keeping spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for the community? We’re looking for reliable and hardworking cleaners to join our team. Cleaner: • Cleaning and maintaining council facilities, including public buildings, amenities, and community spaces in the Waipa District. • Ensuring areas are hygienic, tidy, and ready for public use. • Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively. • Working independently and as part of a supportive team. • Weekend work is required on a rostered basis. Sort line : • We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Sort Line Worker to join our team. This full-time role involves sorting and processing materials on a production line, ensuring items are separated accurately and safely according to company standards. • Duties include manual handling, maintaining a clean work area, identifying and removing non-conforming items, and working efficiently as part of a team. • Weekend work is required on a rostered basis. Applicants must be physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.

What we’re looking for: • A strong work ethic and attention to detail. • Reliability and the ability to work early mornings, starts and rostered weekends. • Full driver's car license. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Previous cleaning experience is an advantage but not essential — full training will be provided. • Job is based in Te Awamutu.
