Assistant Cafe Manager - 2IC Front of House

A busy cafe in Newmarket is seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Supervisor to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting the smooth running of cafe operations.

Duties include:

• Opening and closing the cafe each day • Managing stock levels and placing online orders • Communicating with the Distribution team to coordinate deliveries • Serving customers and making high-quality coffee • Supporting the Store Manager with high-end items and daily operations • Assisting with compliance audits and Food Safe checks • Creating and managing staff rosters and schedules • Monitoring team performance and supporting staff development • Managing daily wastage and adjusting orders accordingly • Benchmarking revenue against wages as a percentage of sales

Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience and the ability to manage daily cafe operations, as outlined in the job description

Must have a high standard of customer service

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Must be available for an immediate start

Must be available to work a rostered schedule, Sunday to Thursday, 6am – 3:30pm. Typical hours are 30–35 per week, with occasional extra hours up to 45 per week.
