Class 4 Truck Driver

An Auckland-based Civil Construction company is seeking experienced operators and drivers for immediate start across multiple infrastructure projects.

We are looking for skilled and reliable civil operators and drivers who have proven experience working on heavy civil construction sites. These roles involve operating machinery and heavy vehicles safely and efficiently on infrastructure and earthworks projects.

Positions Available:

1. Class 4 Truck Driver – Road Ranger (Work from Otara) - Operate Class 4 trucks fitted with Road Ranger gearboxes - Transport materials, aggregates, and equipment between sites - Conduct pre-start vehicle checks and maintain logbooks - Demonstrate Road Ranger competency via practical driving assessment

2. GPS Digger Operator (Work from Warkworth to Drury) - Operate excavators using GPS machine control systems - Carry out bulk earthworks, trenching, and final trim work - Read and interpret site plans and levels - Provide verifiable GPS operating experience

3. Scraper Operator (Work from Warkworth to Drury) - Operate scrapers for large-scale earthmoving projects - Maintain safe production levels and machine care - Work closely with site supervisors and other operators

4. Bulldozer Operator (Work from Warkworth to Drury) - Perform bulk earthworks and final trim operations - Maintain accurate grading and shaping - Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently

5. Moxy Operator (Articulated Dump Truck) (Work from Warkworth to Drury) - Operate articulated dump trucks for material cartage on site - Work in coordination with excavator and loader operators - Follow site haul routes and safety procedures

To be considered for these roles, applicants must meet the following criteria: - Own reliable transport and hold a NZ Full (clean) Driver Licence - Hold a Class 4 Truck Licence and all required certifications relevant to the role - 2+ years of proven civil construction experience (operators must have relevant machine operating experience) - Ability to demonstrate Road Ranger gearbox competency via a practical driving test (for applicable role) - Proven GPS operating experience (for GPS Operator roles) - Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check - Strong understanding of health and safety practices, with the ability to maintain safe working procedures at all times - Reliable, punctual, and committed to turning up to work every day - Physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of the role
