Housekeeper

A Motel in Taupo has a housekeeping position available for the right person. Situated on lake Taupo & boasting spectacular views, the Motel has 19 rooms, spread across 4 levels and 2 buildings. The Motel is 1km from the Taupo town centre & Free on-site parking is available. The role will be suited to someone who is good with people, trustworthy, physically fit and who has an eye for detail. You should bring good attitude, be a team player and are personable. Ideally, if we can rely on you, we want to hear from you.

Housekeeping experience is preferred but not necessary, with full training provided. The role involves cleaning and servicing motel rooms, as well as maintaining guest facilities such as the kitchen, laundry, outdoor furniture, ashtrays etc. Some of the duties also include washing windows and doors, operating the dishwasher, and folding laundry. These are some of the duties and you may be required to take up others, as and when necessary. Must be - available to work weekends and public holidays. - able to pass a police background check. Hours will vary depending on season and will increase during the summer months. Days of Work: Wednesday-Sunday with Monday & Tuesday being off. Generally, shifts range from 1.5 hours – 6 hours per day, depending on demand.
