Career opportunity!! Local house removal company requires two people to join there family owned business long term. Full training and the ability to gain useful skills and qualifications in a busy industry. You will also be trained in Pilot Vehicle operation and truck driving. Duties will include assisting the team to jack up and dissect houses for removal, assist with driving or supporting the pilot vehicle and then assisting with re-piling at site to lower the house into position. Homes are moved all around the North Island so being able to stay away from home for up to 5 days is required, also being flexible with hours worked is a must as most house moving is done after hours. Accommodation and meals are paid when staying away from home. When not moving houses, you will be at the yard during normal day hours preparing houses for moving and checking and maintaining gear. Ideally you will be someone who enjoys the outdoors, has some skill in woodworking or the building trade, and be reasonably fit and agile.
