Dairy Assistant

This farm property is located in an round Waharoa Township in between Morrinsville and Matamata Towns. It is made up of 2 farms carrying 700 cows and 600 cows on 160 hectares and 180 hectares . Milking is carried out in a Herringbone and Rotary sheds. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following Milking cows Feeding and safely handling stock Set up, safely operate and properly maintain milking plant General farm maintenance such as fencing and spraying Use and maintain farm vehicles and machinery Effluent and water management and maintenance Following and participating in health and safety procedures. We are looking for someone who will thrive in a team environment and be able to self motivate when working alone. Ability to safely operate a tractor, load silage and feed out is an advantage. A current drivers licence is required A love of animals is a must, we place primary importance on the wellbeing of our cows and we believe attitude to work is more important

Must pass a Police check. No criminal convictions Must pass a drug test Must live on the farm. Shared accommodation available Experience required (6 months -2 years) No Pets No smoking and No vaping Must have a full licence and own transport Employer will also look at any candidate with the right attitude and no experience
