A well established Towing company is looking for a motivated and experienced Recovery Vehicle Operator with a strong "can-do" attitude to service the metro Auckland area. This role offers variety, with callouts ranging from vehicle breakdowns and roadside assistance to transporting machinery, motorcycles, and vehicle salvage operations. Key Responsibilities: • Communicate effectively with dispatch via radio or phone. • Safely tow and transport recovered vehicles to designated locations. • Perform basic roadside vehicle diagnostics. • Provide roadside assistance, including fuel delivery, jumpstarts, tire changes, and reconnecting vehicle parts. • Remove vehicles from private property as requested by property owners. • Remove vehicles from public roadways at Auckland Transport’s request.

Job Requirements

Requirements: • Holds a Class 2 or higher driver’s license for at least 2 years. • Preferably holds a Vehicle Recovery Endorsement (V) • At least one year driving experience of a Vehicle Recovery unit (tow truck) • Clean driver’s license and criminal history (Fit and Proper Person check required by law). • Mechanically minded with solid vehicle knowledge. • Strong problem-solving skills and practical thinking. • Legal right to work in New Zealand.
