Store Assistant

A busy Trentham Superette is looking for a retail store assistant. This role will encompass the following:
• Assist customers with enquiries and provide helpful product advice across our full product range • Support the Store Manager and team with stock management, replenishment, and forward planning • Monitor stock levels proactively to minimise losses and take corrective action when required • Maintain clean, organised, and well presented shelves and product displays • Assist with in store promotions, merchandising, and creative displays • Perform heavy lifting when required as part of stock handling duties • Operate the Point of Sale system accurately, including cash handling and transaction processing • Sell a wide range of convenience, grocery, vape, and dairy products in line with store policies • Travel to other retail businesses to develop opportunities and to transport stock (e.g., delivering stock to other retailers or returning purchased stock to our store)
Job Requirements
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice police check *Full Class 1 driver license required * Perform heavy lifting when required as part of stock handling duties * No experience necessary as full training will be provided
