Labourer/Operator

A Paeroa based business is seeking a dynamic, General Labourer / Machine Operator, responsible for supporting daily operational tasks, operating machinery safely, and assisting with general labouring duties. This role helps ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to quality standards.

General Labouring Duties: • Assist with general site or factory duties as required • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment • Move materials around the worksite safely • Clean and maintain work areas to ensure safety and organisation • Assist skilled workers and supervisors with tasks • Follow workplace health and safety procedures

Machine Operating Duties: • Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions • Perform pre-start checks on machines • Monitor machines to ensure correct operation • Report faults, breakdowns, or maintenance needs • Ensure products meet quality standards • Shut down and clean machines after use If this sounds like you apply now!

Skills and Attributes: Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently. Strong awareness of health and safety requirements. Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks. Reliable and punctual. Ability to follow instructions. Good teamwork and communication skills. Attention to detail. Strong work ethic. Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Pass Ministry of Justice vetting. Must have a current Class 1 Full Driver Licence and W.T.R. Roading/construction experience preferred.
