Accommodation Cleaner - Katikati

Position Purpose The Accommodation Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic living environment within a large-scale accommodation facility housing up to 163 residents. This role ensures all shared and common areas are cleaned daily to a high standard to support resident wellbeing and compliance with health and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities • Carry out day-to-day cleaning of communal areas including kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, lounges, hallways, laundry facilities, and outdoor shared spaces • Clean and sanitise high-touch surfaces regularly • Empty rubbish and recycling bins and ensure waste is disposed of correctly • Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as required • Report maintenance, damage, or health and safety concerns to management • Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order • Follow cleaning schedules and infection control procedures • Ensure cleaning duties are completed in accordance with workplace health and safety standards If you are interested in this role and have a CV that aligns to the job description and job requirements, please submit your CV to amiria.ngatai001@msd.govt.nz

Skills and Experience • Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively • Good attention to detail • Reliable and punctual • Ability to work respectfully within a multicultural living environment • Reliable transportation (Full or Restricted Class 1 Dl)

Physical Requirements • Ability to undertake manual cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
