Chinese Restaurant Wait Staff/FOH (Casual)

Riccarton/Middleton: A Chinese Restaurant is currently seeking for enthusiastic and reliable Wait Staff to become part of their dedicated team in Christchurch! This role is start with Casual, potential lead to Part Time / Full-Time permanent contract!

Key Responsibilities: - Greet and seat customers in a welcoming manner - Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently - Serve food and drinks to tables in a timely and professional manner - Provide menu recommendations and explain Chinese dishes - Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and prompt service - Clear and reset tables between customers - Handle customer payments and operate POS systems - Assist with restaurant setup and closing duties, including cleaning tasks - Package takeaway orders as needed - Follow hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.

- Prior experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment is preferred - Familiar with Chinese cuisine and culture - Able to demonstrates good communication skills in English when interacting with customers and taking order. - Mandarin language skills would be an advantage due to customer demographics. - Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure - Physically fit for the role duties and capable of standing for extended periods. - Flexibility to work for the shift hours, weekends, and public holidays - Be able to provide written references to understand your work ethic - Able to pass drug test and MoJ check
