Traffic Controller

Traffic Controllers are required for the Thames, Whitianga and Coromandel areas. You will be responsible for directing and managing the safe and efficient flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic through roadwork and construction zones. This role ensures the safety of workers, motorists, and the public by following approved traffic management plans and complying with all safety regulations. Key Responsibilities • Direct and control traffic using stop/go paddles, hand signals, and communication devices • Set up, maintain, and remove traffic management equipment such as cones, signs, and barriers • Follow approved Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and site safety procedures • Ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists at all times • Monitor traffic flow and adjust control methods as required • Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and machinery operators • Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately • Assist with general labouring duties when required • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Follow all workplace health and safety regulations If this sounds like you, apply now!

Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Pass Ministry of Justice vetting. Must have a current Class 1 Full Driver Licence. Valid Traffic Control qualification (preferred) however training will be provided for the right candidate.
