Cafe Chef Wanted We are a bustling well loved cafe in Hamilton and we are on the lookout for an experienced energetic and self motivated Cafe Chef to join our dynamic team. What You Will Be Doing • Preparing and cooking food quickly consistently and to a high standard even during peak periods • Maintaining an exceptionally clean and hygienic work area at all times • Following all Food Safety and Food Control Plan requirements • Supporting the kitchen operation across weekends and public holidays • Communicating clearly respectfully and positively with the wider team • Working collaboratively with management and colleagues to help maintain a great team culture

What We Are Looking For • Proven experience in a busy cafe kitchen • A genuine passion for food and serving quality dishes • Ability to cook efficiently and consistently under pressure • Strong understanding of hygiene practices and kitchen cleanliness • Friendly clear and professional communication skills • A team player who enjoys contributing to a positive work environment

This is a full time permanent position offering 30 hours per week and a pay rate of $25-$30 dollars per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Flexibility is essential as you will be working on a rotating roster across weekdays and weekends.

Job Requirements Must hold a relevant cookery or culinary qualification at Level 4 or above (or demonstratable equivalent experience) Must have at least 2 years of recent and relevant cafe experience (Menu and Cabinet) Must be able to pass MOJ, Drug and Alcohol Pay rate is based on experience and qualifications.
