Scaffolder x2

A Silverdale based employer is seeking Scaffolders to assist in Erecting lifting tackles by attaching pulleys and blocks to fix overhead structures, and installing cables and attaching counterweights Attaching slinging gear to hoisting equipment and objects to be moved using clamps, hooks, bolts and knots. Fitting and bolting tubes, support braces and components to form bases and build up scaffolding Loading and unloading scaffold material to or from trucks Lifting and positioning sections of scaffolding Measuring, cutting, bending and fitting welded wire mesh into concrete areas to be mesh reinforced. Fixing mesh and reinforcing steel into position in form work for concrete pours Assisting in setting up winches and rigging equipment to raise and position girders, plates, columns and other steel units. Assist in Erecting guard rails, guy wires, ropes and cleats, laying planks and hanging safety nets. Housekeeping and maintenance of the base yard as well as the trucks.

Previous experience in general labouring, preferably in construction or scaffolding, is an asset but not required - training may be provided Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working at heights. Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team. Strong awareness of workplace safety protocols. Own transportation to and from the job site is preferred. Must have or be willing to obtain necessary safety certifications.
