Experienced Senior Painter

We are seeking an experienced Painter with strong workmanship and leadership qualities. This role is hands-on, with the expectation that you can support others, maintain high standards, and help manage jobs with professionalism. What You’ll Bring: • Solid painting trade experience across residential and/or commercial work • Ability to run jobs and support other painters or labourers • Comprehensive knowledge of trade-related products (paints, fillers, sealers, primers, adhesives, masking systems, abrasives, etc.) • Ability to specify correct products and systems for different substrates (e.g. timber, plasterboard, concrete, steel) • Excellent eye for detail and pride in workmanship • Honest, reliable, and self-motivated • Full NZ driver’s licence • Strong communication skills with clients and team • Comfortable working at heights and using harnesses Skills Advantageous (Not Essential): • Plastering (patching, new gib, skim to Level 5) • Spray painting (airless and HVLP) • EWP license (boom/scissor lift) • Working at Heights / Harness / Scaffolding certificates • Scaffolding (mobile towers / tube & clip) • Ability to read job specs, manufacturer data sheets, or architect coatings schedules • Experience with moisture meters, adhesion testing, or substrate preparation diagnostics • Experience quoting or managing small teams If you have the right experience, we would love to hear from you!
