Carpenter’s Assistant / Formwork & Steel Fixing – Albany Site
We are seeking a reliable and motivated CARPENTER’S ASSISTANT with the ability to also do FORMWORK AND STEEL FIXING to join a busy building construction team for an immediate start.
This is a hands-on role working across sites in the Auckland region, offering consistent hours in a supportive environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE: You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, assisting with a variety of carpentry and construction tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has at least 2 x years’ experience, reliable and can SPEAK MANDARIN.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist with the erection and fitting of timber structures • Support formwork preparation and basic steel fixing duties • Help set up job sites and prepare layouts for construction • Cut and shape materials ready for installation • Carry out general labouring and site support tasks as required • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: • A strong work ethic and RELIABLE • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team • Good attention to detail and practical mindset • Physically fit and comfortable working on construction sites • Previous construction experience • Reliable transport to get to Albany Site and punctuality are important

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm Saturday work available as needed.

Job Requirements
- Min 2 years experience - Reliable with own transport to get to Albany Site - Can pass a drug test and with no criminal convictions
- Days of work
- Monday to Friday 7:00am – 5:00pm Saturday work available as needed. Minimum 30+plus hours per week. (30 hours per week)
