A dairy farm in Murchison seeks an experienced and reliable dairy farm worker for beginning in June. This role involves milking the cows and being able to identify mastitis, lameness, and other issues that may arise with the stock. You will also be shifting stock, shifting break fences, feeding calves, spot spraying weeds, feeding out, mowing or topping paddocks, and fixing fences. Tasks also cover anything related to calving.

The position requires the ability to ride a motorbike, with a 4 wheeler as a minimum, and the person must also be able to act as a fixit person where necessary and be generally handy. The successful applicant must also be able to manage the farm successfully on their own if the owners are away.

Job Requirements

Potential candidates must be able to attend a job interview in Murchison. You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and then random drug tests throughout employment.

You must be quiet around stock and respectful of your employers. Please note that in this industry no day is the same, and start and finish times cannot be guaranteed to be the same every day. Early mornings are a non negotiable.
