A long-established sheet-metal fabrication workshop in Frankton is seeking a reliable, hands-on team member. We manufacture custom flashings, metal fittings, and general light-fabrication products for commercial clients.
Key Duties: • Measure, cut, and fold sheet metal to specifications • Operate workshop equipment (guillotine, press brake, rollers, drills, hand tools) • Assemble and finish components (riveting, fitting, sealing, deburring) • Assist with machine setup and production runs • Maintain workshop safety and general housekeeping • Support goods handling and packing orders
About You: • Reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude • Enjoy practical, hands-on work • Commitment to workplace safety
Experience is not essential — full training provided. Experience in engineering, fabrication, or metalwork is an advantage. Qualified fabricators are encouraged to apply.
Job Requirements
• Must be physically fit, reliable, motivated to learn, capable of following instructions, and committed to working safely • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and MOJ check • Must have reliable transport - ideally minimum Restricted licence (Class 1) • Physically fit - able to lift up to 25kg • Any of the following is an advantage (not essential) - NZ Level 4 Light Fabrication (completed or part-completed) - Ability to read basic drawings, use measuring equipment accurately, and familiarity with safe use of drills/hand tools

- Monday – Friday 7.00am–5.00pm (45-49 hours per week) (40 hours per week)
