Head Waiter/Host
About this job
We are seeking an experienced and confident Head Waiter/Host to be the welcoming face of our business in Paihia. In this key front-of-house leadership role, you will set the tone for every guest’s dining experience — greeting and seating guests warmly, managing reservations, and ensuring exceptional customer service from arrival through to departure.
You will lead by example on the floor, maintaining a professional, calm, and well-presented manner at all times. As the first point of contact, you will manage customer enquiries, accommodate special requests where possible, and resolve any concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive outcome.
This role also involves training, mentoring, and supporting wait staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service. You will oversee service flow, coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth communication, and help manage busy service periods with efficiency and composure. Monitoring table turnover, maintaining service standards, and supporting team development will be key aspects of your leadership.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised, and passionate about hospitality. Strong communication skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and proven experience in a similar supervisory or senior wait staff role are essential. A solid understanding of food and beverage service, along with a genuine commitment to creating memorable dining experiences, will set you apart.
If you are a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding service, we would love to hear from you. Apply today and become an integral part of our team in Paihia.
