Support Worker - Fielding

We are seeking an empathetic and motivated Full time Support Worker to join our specialist team in Fielding.

You will provide both practical and emotional support to help clients achieve their goals and maintain independence.

Your responsibilities may include: - Meal preparation - Personal care (showering, toileting, grooming) - Administering medication - Bowel management, manual handling, and hoist transfers - Supporting community outings and social integration - Home management and daily living support

Rostered shifts will be at least 25-30 hours per fortnight. Wk 1: 12 hours total Wk 2: 19 hours total Flexibility with availability is essential as times may vary.

We are looking for

- Have an updated CV with at least 2 contactable referees - Positive attitude and genuine desire to support others - Previous caregiving or healthcare experience (desirable but not essential) - Computer literacy and ability to use Apps - Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work alternative weekends - High level of resilience, with an ability to cope with change and to be flexible - Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and a commitment to meeting the cultural needs of Maori - Health and wellbeing level 2 certificate. If you don't have one we can assist the successful applicant to obtain one through the online course. - Be able to pass an MOJ check - Applicants must hold a full driver’s licence and have access to their own vehicle, as driving may be required during work to assist with some tasks, as well as for commuting to and from the workplace. - Must live within 10-15km of Fielding
