A New Zealand-owned and operated hotel in the Auckland Airport Precinct is seeking a Full-Time Food & Beverage Supervisor to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, hands-on hospitality professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional food and beverage service and enjoys developing and mentoring others.

As the Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will lead by example while managing and coordinating staff across the busy conference facilities and restaurant. You will ensure high service standards are consistently maintained, guest needs are met efficiently, and team members are well-trained and supported.

Key Responsibilities: - Supervising and coordinating daily operations in the restaurant and conference facilities - Leading, training, and mentoring Food & Beverage team members - Ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered at all times - Managing service flow, task allocation, and timing during busy periods - Supporting revenue optimisation across restaurant and conference services - Maintaining strong communication between front-of-house and kitchen teams - Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally

Job Requirements

- Proven experience across all areas of Food & Beverage, with at least 1–2 years’ experience in a supervisory role - Strong technical skills in conference, restaurant, and bar service - Barista skills and experience training junior staff - Ability to implement new processes and systems effectively - Outstanding customer service skills, including confident guest complaint resolution and the ability to create memorable guest experiences - Excellent attention to detail with an organised and methodical approach — able to multi-task in a busy environment - A confident leader with initiative and strong problem-solving abilities - Ability to contribute innovative ideas and drive continuous improvement - Willingness to learn and operate hotel POS and PMS systems - Excellent communication skills, professional presentation, and strong sales and upselling ability - Genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences - Availability to work 5 rostered shifts per week, including weekends, day shifts, and evening shifts - Must pass a Ministry of Justice check, drug test, and reference check - Full driver’s licence and reliable transport required - LCQ and General Manager’s Certificate would be an advantage, but are not essential
