Skilled Civil Operator/Labourer

A major civil landscaping company, based in the North Shore, is seeking a reliable and experienced Skilled Civil Labourer to join the construction team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil construction and be capable of performing a range of manual tasks with precision and efficiency. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities: • Perform general civil labouring duties including but not limited to trenching, concreting, formwork, exposing of services, spotting and compacting. • Operate and maintain small plant safely and efficiently. • Assist with the set-up and dismantling of work sites, including barriers and signage. • Read and interpret construction plans and drawings under supervision. • Support machinery operators and tradespeople as required. • Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures. • Report any site hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately. • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work site.

• Proven experience as a civil labourer in roadworks, infrastructure, or civil construction projects. • Knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials. • Ability to read and understand basic plans or instructions. • Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour for extended periods. • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. • Must have Wheels Tracks and Rollers • Site Safe also preferred. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transport Additional overtime and weekend work may be required.
