We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute professional to lead the pricing and contracts function within a growing residential and commercial construction company.

The Role Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key leadership role across the commercial operations of the business. Project Managers will report into this position.

Key responsibilities include: • Leading the pricing and tendering function across projects • Preparing and reviewing cost estimates and budgets • Managing contracts, including progress claims and variations • Overseeing project financial performance and cost control • Managing client relationships and commercial negotiations • Providing commercial oversight and leadership to Project Managers

About You • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor and/or Commercial Manager • Strong background in residential and commercial construction • Experienced in pricing, cost planning, and contract administration • Confident managing progress claims and variations • Commercially savvy with strong financial acumen • Energetic, proactive, and hands-on • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Requirements

Must Haves: • Qualified Quantity Surveyor and/or a Construction Management degree with a Quantity Surveying focus • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the construction industry • Proven project financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and reporting • Strong experience in pricing, contract administration, progress claims, and variations • Advanced MS Excel skills • Confident user of project management software (experience with LenTune highly regarded) • Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage financial risk • Must have a full, clean driver licence • Must be able to pass pre-employment checks, including Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and drug testing
