Retail Assistant

Our employer is looking for Staff in their South Wairarapa Supermarket (Greytown). Providing friendly and efficient customer service. Assisting shoppers with locating products and answering enquires. Operating point of sale (POS) systems to process cash card and electronic transactions accurately. Replenishing shelves displays and promotional areas to ensure product availability and correct stock rotation. Labelling products with accurate pricing and promotional signage in line with current store promotions. Receiving unpacking and storing stock deliveries in designated areas. Maintaining a clean organised and visually appealing store environment. Monitoring inventory levels and notifying management of low stock or discrepancies. Participating in stocktakes and assisting with stock control procedures. following hygiene health and safety and store operational procedures at all times. Supporting in store promotions and recommending products to customers where appropriate.

Relevant work experience is preferred but not essential as full training i will be provided. Availability to work weekends and rostered shifts within trading hours of 7.00am to 9.00pm. Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in completing tasks. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Self motivated with a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for customer service. Reliable hardworking and committed to maintaining high store standards.
