Caregiver/Health Care Assistant - Level 4

Employer in Hamilton is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Caregiver/Health Care Assistant - Level 4 to join their team. They provide high-quality care and support to the community and pride themselves on their compassionate approach and commitment to excellence in healthcare services. As a Caregiver/Health Care Assistant - Level 4, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing essential support and care to our patients. You will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities: • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating. • Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff. • Support patients with mobility and physical exercises as directed by healthcare professionals. • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients. • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed. • Assist in the preparation and distribution of meals and snacks to patients. • Help with the transportation of patients within the facility. • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.

• NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent. • Previous experience as a Caregiver/Health Care Assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature. • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and stand for long periods. • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes. • Must pass Drug and Alcohol Test. • Must pass Police or Ministry of Justice check. • Must have reliable transport and Full Class-1 Driver Licence or willing to obtain one.
