Class 4 Truck Driver

A Lower Hutt Employer is looking for a Class 4 Truck driver.

You will be responsible for transporting car bodies, scrap metal, and bins safely and efficiently. I load materials at our yard and deliver them to scrap metal facilities in Seaview, Lower Hutt. I also collect vehicles from damaged car auctions and return them to our yard for processing.

Experienced in operating flat deck trucks, securing loads correctly, and ensuring timely, compliant deliveries. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and handling everything from tidy bins to slightly less tidy car bodies — all part of keeping the wheels turning.

No criminal convictions

Minimum Class 4 truck driving licence (automatic transmission)

Class 5 licence is an advantage but not essential

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

About the Role

This is a casual position offering full-time hours with ongoing work available.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating flat deck trucks, safely securing loads, and ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in full compliance with regulations. You’ll be comfortable working in fast-paced environments and handling a variety of loads — from neatly stacked bins to the occasional well-used vehicle body — all while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
