Glasshouse worker

Join the dynamic team as a Nursery Assistant. This full-time role is based in Tuakau and will see you contribute to the day-to-day operations in glasshouses. In this hands-on position, you will work alongside our experienced growing team to ensure all aspects of crop care are completed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities - Harvesting cucumbers with care to avoid damage - Pruning, training, and tying cucumber plants - Monitoring plant health and reporting any issues - Packing and grading produce according to quality standards - Assisting with general greenhouse maintenance and cleaning - Following health, safety, and hygiene protocols at all times - Working efficiently to meet daily production targets

- A passion for horticulture and a keen interest in plant care - Ability to work in warm, humid glasshouse conditions - Physically fit and able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods - Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely - A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving - Ability to work 5 1/2 days a week, Mon-Sat. - Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks - Some experience working in a horticulture or glasshouse environment may help - Able to pass MOJ/ Drug test (MOJ maybe considered on some minor driving convictions otherwise it needs to be clean) -will need reliable transport to get to and from work.
