Entry level Dairy farm assistant

Looking for Motivated Enthusiastic Farm assistants to join a family owned and operated spring calving system 3 unit 230 ha 580 cows .

1 x 30aside Herringbone and another 26 aside. Must be able to operate a 2 and 4 wheeler ideally you will be able to operate a tractor but training is given. You will be expected to complete formal farm training Primary ITO and have a good level of literacy and numeracy with great communication skills must be a team player shared accommodation.

Understanding and use of technology is required to utilise it in your daily work along with a thorough understanding of health and safety in the workplace putting it into practise daily. Quiet and confident around livestock fit reliable punctual and tidy with a genuine interest in farming as a career pathway. Drug/alcohol and criminal conviction free as random tests apply on this farm.

Roster of 6 days on 1 off then 4 days on 2 off or variations starting at $25 hr dependent on experience up to $30hr.

-Applicants are not required to have experience in the dairy shed, or with pasture-based farming as this is an entry level role and the employer is willing to provide necessary training.

-Must have a driver licence. Employee housing is provided on-site, and applicants must reside in the farm accommodation. No drive-in options available. Accommodation may be shared or private, depending on availability at the time of successful placement. No pets allowed.
