Taxi Driver

An Auckland based transport services company is looking for a full-time permanent Taxi Driver to join their team.

In this role tasks will include: - Safely operating vehicles to transport passengers or deliver rental vehicles. - Using mobile systems and radio networks to manage bookings and vehicle movements. - Picking up passengers from designated locations, taxi ranks, or when hailed. - Planning and determining efficient routes using navigation systems and local knowledge. - Assisting passengers with luggage and providing basic guidance on vehicle features. - Collecting fares, processing payments, and issuing receipts. - Conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any issues.

- A Class 1 NZ Full Driver Licence with (P) Passenger Endorsement, or an overseas licence with at least 2 years’ driving experience (eligible to apply for a P endorsement). - Willingness to complete and pass a pre-employment drug test. - Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice background check. - Trainee/apprentice level experience accepted (0–6 months experience welcomed). - Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-focused attitude. - Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and night shifts.
