International Freight Forwarder 2-4 Years Experience

Timely processing of jobs to achieve service level agreements as set out in department KPI's. Service Level Agreements span timeframes on completing the initial registration check of jobs and completion of Invoicing-related tasks. Deliver outstanding data quality and accuracy through job processing Provide constructive feedback on data quality improvement initiatives. Taking a preventative and collaborative approach to problem solving. Achievement of individual productivity targets along with an active contribution towards process improvement ideas. Contribute to building and maintaining strong internal relationships within team and across other departments Check for complete and accurate registration of Consols, Shipments and Brokerage only Jobs in our operational system. Send Import Pre-alerts to consignees and external brokers if applicable. Track and Trace activities for all import cargo, including handling of short landed and missing consignments. Solve problems, as quickly and efficiently as possible, while reporting discrepancies and customer complaints with a view to preventing recurrence. Liaise with Carrier and Origin offices; collect relevant shipping documents Liaise with suppliers (agents, carriers, overseas agents) regarding any delays or issues. Liaise with supervisor and/or colleagues on matters, keeping them informed where necessary. Ensure customer and agent invoicing and financial cost processing (local, overseas, commissions), are completed within the required time frames and in accordance with the company’s Global business objectives. Where required arrange movement of cargo back to warehouse for deconsolidation. Handle Claims and Cargo discrepancies per prescribed procedures. Ensure Cargo consigned to Bank or cargo subject to Original Bill of lading is released only when the required documentation is obtained and is in our possession. Process of supplier Accounts Payable invoices within KPI and in accordance with company processes to ensure prompt and timely payment to our suppliers.

Job Requirements

2-4 years Experience Prior knowledge and experience of import freight operations within freight forwarding Customer service driven attitude with the ability to find efficient solutions for the customer Co-operative working style, informing internal stakeholders/departments pro-actively Required to have a full drivers license Must pass MOJ and Drug test (MOJ must be clean)
