Community Support Worker

Full-time Support Worker needed to cover the Bulls and Marton areas.

The role offers 60 guaranteed hours per fortnight.

They are looking for a energetic and motivated person to support people in their own home. As a Support Worker you will be part of a team who will provide a safe environment where people can develop confidence and new skills, build friendships with peers and interact with others in the community. Personal care and toileting as well as home help management will be part of your daily routine.

To be considered you will need: • Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand • Hold a full or restricted driver’s licence • Have access to their own vehicle • Have no major traffic or criminal records • Experience candidate preferred • Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests. • Physically fit

Availability includes: - Weekends and Weekdays - 7:00am – 12:00pm - 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Support Workers are paid for travel time between clients, except when travelling to the first and last clients of the day.

• Previous healthcare or care-giving experience preferred • Hold a valid visa to work in NZ • Minimum restricted driver licence and own vehicle necessary • Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests. • Must pass pre-employment checks including police vetting • Physically fit and able to complete various tasks as a Support Worker in this role
