Duty Manager full time

We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to lead our front-of-house team across our high-volume venues in Auckland CBD.
Our venues host 300–800 guests per day, offering a mix of restaurant-style dining, fine dining, large functions, and bar/entertainment experiences, including casual dining and sports-themed events.
This role is ideal for a motivated hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for service, and the ability to manage fast-paced, high-energy environments.
Responsibilities include:
* Lead and manage a front-of-house team of up to 20 staff members * Organise and oversee bookings, seating plans, and floor operations * Ensure smooth communication between front-of-house staff, kitchen, and customers * Drive team performance in sales, upselling, and maintaining high service standards * Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently * Monitor and maintain service quality and product standards for every guest * Support restaurant or bar operations during high-volume periods, including fine dining, casual dining, and large events/functions

Job Requirements
* Must be able to work flexible shifts around 24 hour service (may be early morning, afternoon, late nights) * Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar management role in a high-volume venue ( Hospitality setting) * Experience in restaurant-style dining, fine dining, large functions, or bar/entertainment venues * Strong leadership and team management skills, including staff training and motivation * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage floor layouts and bookings * Effective communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to maintain calm and efficient operations under pressure * Customer-focused with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service * Interest in sport is a bonus but not essential * Reliable transport sorted ( public transport/ own vehicle) * Must be able to undergo and pass a drug test and Ministry of Justice Check
