Local Invercargill sawmill are seeking motivated, reliable, and practical individuals to join our timber production and processing teams across a variety of roles. These hands-on positions are ideal for people who enjoy physical work, operating machinery, and contributing to high-performing manufacturing environments.
Positions are available across dayshift and nightshift, including: - Machine Operator (Day or Night Shift) - Automated Machinery / Cutline Operator - Forklift Operator (Night Shift)
These roles play an important part in maintaining smooth production flow within a busy timber-processing environment.
Key Responsibilities - Depending on the position, responsibilities may include: - Operating machinery or automated equipment to support timber processing and production targets - Performing quality checks and monitoring material flow to ensure consistent output - Setting up machines, programming automated systems, or supporting processing equipment - Operating forklifts safely to move product and support department workflow (forklift roles) - Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workspace - Working collaboratively within a small, supportive team to achieve daily production targets

Job Requirements
- A consistent work history with strong reliability and attendance - Mechanical or technical aptitude, or machining experience (advantage but not essential) - The ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively - Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, or working in fast-paced environments - Forklift experience (for forklift roles), with training available for the right candidate - A positive, practical attitude and willingness to learn new skills - Reliable transport to and from work

- Days: Mon –Thurs 6am–4:30pm + Friday morning Nights: Mon –Thurs 4pm–2:30am, with regular overtime available (40 hours per week)
