About this job

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Truck Drivers to support a growing logistics operation specialising in the transportation of chilled and frozen products in and around Southland region. This role involves driving a Class 5 Truck and trailer unit delivering and collecting freight, and ensuring all tasks meet the highest standards of safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities include: - Use of a Class 5 Truck and trailer unit with various trailer configurations - Transporting freight to designated locations - Completing delivery and pickup documentation - Securing loads in accordance with NZ legislation - Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards - Relocating company vehicles when needed site to site - Refuelling vehicles and performing basic vehicle checks - Washing the truck on assigned days - Reporting any breakdowns or mechanical issues promptly

Training will be provided for the successful candidate. Must have an updated CV with contactable references aligned to this industry.

Job Requirements

- Valid Truck Driver Licence - Class 5 - Ability to follow NZ transport laws and safety standards - Must be able pass a pre-employment drug test - Must be able pass a Ministry of Justice check required - Reliability, good communication skills, and physical capability to handle load-restraint tasks - Team player and able to work shifts and hours required

Days of work
Shifts range from 5 to 12 hours per day - Monday to Saturday (40 hours per week)

$28 - $30 based on expereince
